Add a spellbinding light show to any wall or Halloween display with our incredibly versatile Purple and Orange Fire and Ice Spotlight. Trick-or-treaters will see your haunted house in a cool, new way like never before. Just place anywhere indoors or out, and stand amazed as purple and orange lights are projected through a crystalline prism, creating a fascinating kaleidoscope effect. In a neighborhood of the same old scare tactics, it's a fast, easy, and affordable way to turn the spotlight on your house. Small all-weather spotlight that creates a captivating kaleidoscope effect Light easily swivels and tilts, making it infinitely positionable Includes stand and ground stake options for easy placement, indoors or out Plugs into any standard outlet Durable plastic construction Such a wickedly good value, you'll want more than one Please note: Place spotlight at least 15' away from a wall or object for an 8' to 10' dia. projection. If the spotlight is closer to the wall or object the width will be smaller; if further away, the width will be larger, but not as bright or clear.

Excellent Rotating Light Effect,

Like the other fire and ice lights this purple and orange light is just as good and does have an internal rotating mechanism that causes the light to "shimmer" with a kaleidoscope effect. It's rated for outdoor use and it comes with a stake to affix to the ground. Now about the color: I would say this is closer to a reddish orange than a golden orange and more of a blueish purple (at least its not the typical "pink purple" you get with "purple" lights). Be aware that the warmer color does overshadow the dimmer purple light and the throw is very short.
Pros: Appearance, Quality

Raise the bar on your monster bash with our hauntingly clever Skull Cast Iron Bottle Opener. But beware – you're opening yourself up to a crypt full of compliments from party guests. Allow this frightful fellow to lurk around the bar, buffet, or anywhere there are bottle caps to sink your teeth into. Mouth opening is precisely designed to just the right proportions for capturing bottle caps and levering them open. Realistic skull design is cast from solid and substantial iron, with a distressed ivory finish. He'll be adding pop to parties for Halloweens to come. Bottle opener in the shape of a human skull Solid cast iron feels substantial in the hand Distressed, ivory finish gives opener timeworn character May also be mounted to a wall (hardware not included) A ghoulishly grand hostess gift or party favor

Chips easily and not wall mountable,

This is a heavy, solid bottle opener, but I wanted to mount it on the wall as indicated on the description. The bottle cap catches on the upper lip, not the bottom one, so for it to work properly it would have be mounted upside down (or hold it awkwardly upside down). Also the white patina chips off instantly with the first bottle cap. Really poor design overall and sadly, not recommended for anything other than a paperweight.
Pros: Appearance, solid & heavy, decent as a paperweight
Cons: Durability, poor design, chips easily

Cordless, flickering lantern with red and gold "flames" Crafted from sturdy plastic with a dark oiled-bronze finish Equipped with a metal wire handle Can be displayed indoors or out Requires four AA batteries (not included)

These lanterns look great for being made entirely of plastic, and the flicker light inside is interesting but not incredibly realistic. There are multiple LEDs inside and they cause pinpoints of multi-color light to appear instead of a "soft glow". Which would be tolerable if the light remained on. UNFORTUNATELY, in typical Grandin Road oversight, you can only choose "Off" or "Sensor" which means a loud noise has to turn on the lights and they stay lit only briefly then go out again. So much for ambience. Is this a battery saving issue? We are talking about LEDs and it takes 4 (!) batteries... for LEDs. So close to a great product. They really need to hire a Halloween consultant like myself to field test all their products.
Pros: Appearance
Cons: only sensor activated

Found this to be a good quality accessory for my apothecary table. The details on the hat are fantastic and can be used with or without the pedestal. On the pedestal, it is somewhat top-heavy and could possibly tip over (especially with that dangling spider that the cat will want to play with). I will be securing it with museum wax. The clock itself seems to keep time accurately and has a very faint tick, but it's made completely of flimsy plastic. Will it last past this one season? If not, I suppose it could be set to a permanent midnight.

Great looking with some functional design flaws,

This is a fairly large, solid, heavy pumpkin, "charred black" with very glossy paint. The flame inside is fabric glued to a little noisy fan that reflects the halogen bulb light and looks like a flame from a distance. It should also be noted that it sits on 3 peg legs about an inch off the ground that cannot be blocked (since it's the airway to the fan). You can probably disguise the front somewhat but anything underneath (hay, moss, spiders) may be sucked into the fan (and then your pumpkin will really be on fire). Also, unlike the picture suggests, there is an big block adapter with no inline "on/off" switch. You plug it in to turn it on. Really, Grandin Road? Who designs these things?
Pros: Quality, great paint job, bright light
Cons: no on/off switch!, needs clearance along bottom, fan is a bit noisy

Make our motion-activated Wilting Black Roses the centerpiece of your most haunting display. Time passes right before your eyes, in the company of this unearthly bouquet in its faux carved stone vase. The fabric blooms stay upright while an eerie tune plays. With the sound of breaking glass at the end of the tune, the blooms wither…until they’re reactivated. Deep black fabric roses Sturdy plastic vase imitates the look of stone carved with haunting imagery Motion activated Upon activation, blooms stand upright while dark music plays; when the music ends, the blooms bow over Requires three AA batteries (not included)

Unusual and fun but overpriced,

These wilting roses are perfect for a gothic mantle were motion can be easily detected (the sensor works 3 out of 5 times. So far 1 of 3 units was replaced by Grandin Road for being defective. This is smaller than I imagined and the front of the vase (where the sensor is located) is actually decorated with a skull instead of the spider pictured (which is located in the back of the vase). The paint job is typically sloppy but looks fine from a distance (I plan to repaint these). The gothic sound is LOUD and cannot be adjusted and is preceded by a glass breaking sound (which doesn't really make sense). The mechanism that retracts the flowers is also somewhat noisy, but in party setting wouldn't be noticed. Overall it's overpriced for the quality but unusual and quite fun.
Pros: fun, unusual
Cons: Quality, overpriced

I liked the idea of these four unusual portraits, the striking yellow color and the large size canvas. However, the actual resolution of the image itself is terrible - nothing like the sharp website images. It's like they enlarged a very small picture that became very pixelated. From a distance (across a very dimly room) they might pass but any closer inspection will reveal the poor quality. Highly disappointed that Grandin Road doesn't have better quality control over their Halloween products. (The low price should have also been a red flag.)
Pros: good size for the price
Cons: Quality, Appearance, very low resolution

I purchased the Deadwalker couple and very happy to receive a very detailed pair of zombies. Mrs. Deadwalker has a hoop skirt that fills out her dress - nice touch! If there was one drawback is that they totally "forgot" to finish Mr. Deadwalker as his feet are in plain sight. He has no legs or feet or shoes - just a pair of silky pants blowing in the wind. I was able to fill the legs with some of the packing materials and will look for a pair of boy's dress shoes to finish the outfit. It's such an obvious design blunder but I guess they want you to pose him behind a tombstone. Also the pair is a little smaller than I envisioned but acceptable nonetheless.
Pros: Appearance, Quality
Cons: not shoes or feet!

I loved this Martha Stewart wreath project from last year's October issue and was excited not to have to make it myself. Unfortunately the vibrating mechanism was not well-proportioned to the wreath. A little moss and some extra snakes may hide it and add needed bulk. I ultimately removed the vibrating mechanism, added a battery led light string, and put it on my front door – it looks great even without the "animation". I hope Grandin Road will continue to develop this product for next year!!!
Pros: Quality, Appearance
Cons: animation is not stellar, mechanism is out of proportion

Our Medusa Animated Halloween Bust gives horrifying new meaning to having a bad hair day. When the motion sensor is activated, snakes begin to move and hiss and Medusa’s eyes and mouth glow red as she speaks three different sayings. Motion-sensor activated Designed to emulate the look of hand-carved stone Uses 3 AA batteries (not included) Medusa's three sayings: "Go on, sneak a peek. It won't hurt for long...ha ha ha ha!" "Come beautiful—it's okay to stare. I won't bite...much." "If you look into my eyes—I'll change you forever...into stone."

I love the Medusa bust and it works exactly as described. With three different phrases and the motion/sound detector, it's a real blast to see people jump when they see it. I do wish that these animated decorations had a way to adjust the sound. Sometimes it fun just to get the visual without the loud squawking! Also, the size is somewhat smaller than I expected – I probably should have read the specs. Nonetheless, it fits perfectly on the mantle and stands out.
Pros: Appearance, Quality
Cons: a bit too small, no volume control

Flickering or Non-Flickering
Some Fire and Ice lights provide a display of flickering light, but some do not. Does this light flicker?

Thank you.
There is a rotating mechanism inside the light that causes that moving kaleidoscope effect, but it's either on or off.

Some of the spot lights from last year had a strange flicker effect where it would strobe intermittently then go out (almost as if it had shorted out). This is NOT a feature with the orange and purple Fire and Ice.

Is it a true purple and orange? The picture looks more blue and pink to me.
The picture on the website shows a lot of purple and very little orange. I found the opposite to be true. The warm light overpowers the cool light. As for color, i would say the purple is purple-blueish, but the orange is much closer to red and does give off that pinkish hue. The picture I attached makes it look much pinker than it is but you'll have to use you imagination to see "true" orange. I've never found "true" orange LED spotlights.

Can you turn the music off?
No you cannot. There is one "on/off" switch and that's it. No volume control of any kind. There are 8 tiny screws on the bottom that you can unscrew and snip the wire to the speaker if you want to permanently quell the sound.

Set the appropriately macabre tone for your Halloween celebration with this Set of Two Black Dripping LED Halloween Candles. An enlightened marriage of eerie ambience and flameless convenience, these candles will dramatically illuminate your Halloween decor. Battery-operated, flickering LED lights emulate the look of regular candles without the concern of an open flame Crafted from real wax with a fabulous dripping effect Safe to place anywhere indoors Designed to fit most standard taper candle holders Each candle operates on 2 AA batteries (included).

what diameter is the candle base?
The diameter of the candle itself is about 1 1/8 inches. It does not fit in standard taper candle holders as is – BUT – there is a plastic adapter included than is inserted into the bottom of the candle. This adapter will help the candle rest upright "above" the rim of a taper opening. Not ideal but these are the best Halloween candles I could find. And they can be turned off and off by pressing down on the flame tip – you don't have to remove them from candleholders.
